We are heavily using Spring Framework for most the areas, for example, SpringMVC and Spring WebFlow in front-end Spring's Declarative Transaction with bunch of AspectJ AOP in service layer; and in the DAO layer we have our old good friend Hibernate.
In web layer, YUI and Prototype been heavily used for presentation and AJAX calls to satisfy user's Web 2.0 requirements.

I have currently defined an open source project called RedLaw, a combination of document and delivery management system based on Java EE platform.
For our Fox's Residuals project, I did evaluation process for two open source products including Scarab and Bugzilla. I come with an idea to develop new simple defect tracking system with new technologies like JSF (ajaxanabled), Spring and hibernate.
I know I will not be able to develop product can compete with product like JIRA. But this project was an answer to my personal desire and technical fulfillment. Therefore I like to develop a project same a bugzilla with improvement in the following sections:
- Easy administration
- Easy development and tailoring
- Adding workflow capability. (for approvals)

- Exterme Programming
- Test Driven Development.
- Spring framework
- Benefits of IoC Container.
- AOP and declerative services.
